About Your Bright Fame Prints
You have found your way to this page and that means more than likely you have experienced a personal connection with one of my photographs. Nothing is more special to an artist than to know their work is meaningful to someone else.
Printing fine art photographs is a labor of love that is best not rushed. When you invest in a fine art print of one of my photographs, I create it specifically for you as a Bright Fame Artist's Edition print. These limited edition prints have the potential to appreciate over time, and are therefore highly valued by art collectors and galleries.
Bright Fame Artist's Edition prints are gallery quality prints and are printed and inspected by me personally. Each print must meet my exacting standards and is personally signed and numbered by me. Included with each print is a signed Certificate of Authenticity that details the date the photo was taken, when it was printed, the paper, printer and inkset used. It also guarantees that all the creative work from conception, composition, exposure, processing to the final print has been carefully considered and accomplished by me.
My preference is the personal contact with someone interested in my work. Please contact me with your inquiries.
The Papers & The Inks
There are vast differences between seeing and holding fine art prints in person versus viewing photographs on a computer display. The true light, depth, textures and delicate nuances of the photographs can only be expressed by the actual print through the inks and materials on which they are printed.
My favourite paper for a satin smooth appearance and incredibly accurate and vibrant image reproduction is Canson® Infinity Platine Fibre Rag. It has a true pure white tone without using optical brighteners that are known to affect the longevity of digitally produced images. This exceptional photo paper produces images with exceptional gamut for vivid color reproduction as well as creamy whites and velvety blacks for the unique look and aesthetic of the original F-Type Baryta Fibre paper.
For a matte finish there is nothing finer than Canson Infinity Rag Photographique. This is a 100% cotton museum grade white Fine Art and photo paper. The exceptional smooth white tone and the ability to exceed museum longevity and conservation requirements is achieved during manufacture by introducing natural minerals to the process. Rag Photographique has a unique extra smooth surface with a very sensual feel. It has one of the highest achievable Dmax (a measure of the deepness of the blacks) currently available on the market, making it ideal for fine art photography. All of my monochrome photographs are printed on this wonderful cotton rag paper using the very special Piezography warm/ neutral pure carbon pigment inks.
With a longevity of a hundred plus years, high end pigment inks far exceed the typical lifespan of a regular photograph. The combination of the wide format Canon IPF8400, the Canon Lucia EX archival twelve color pigment inks along with matching the print to the best paper produce prints that are just plain stunning. Fine art prints that will be enjoyed by you and your family for generations.

Caring For Your Bright Fame Prints
Your prints are works of art and should be handled and treated as such. With proper mounting and framing the paper and pigment ink combination have a life expectancy exceeding a 100 years. While most pigment ink is temporarily resistant to water the print is not waterproof. Humidity, excessive heat, the UV rays of the sun and the pollutants in our air all shorten the life of your prints.
Your prints will arrive in an archival, acid free, clear protector packaged in a reinforced padded envelope for prints up to 8 1/2 x 11, an extra strong 4 inch mailing tube for larger prints or a cardboard packing box if a stretched canvas, metal or acrylic face mount print. Prior to having the print matted, framed and hung, it is recommended to leave it in the protector. If you must remove it please wear clean white cotton gloves. Whether you have the print professionally mounted or you do it yourself please use acid free archival mat board and acid free mounting or backing board. For the ultimate in both longevity and viewing pleasure use UV protected and glare free glass or plexiglass.
Lighting Your Bright Fame Prints
Light is at the core of how we see and enjoy the art we hang on our walls. When you visit an art or photo gallery every image is lit by a semi-direct light source. Under the correct lighting images that otherwise look dull, dark and lifeless will often explode with color, detail and texture – they “come to life”. The standard tungsten house lighting puts an orange cast on the image while warm white fluorescent will put a pink cast and cool white will put a blue or green cast on your art work and photographs.
I use Solux 5000k (Kelvin) bulbs as well very high quality adjustable LED's in my studio to approximate sunny mid day light. I am not suggesting you run out and spend hundreds of dollars for a lighting system to view your prints, however, when properly lit your prints will come alive and bring a smile to your face every time you view them.
